Parabola (2003)

interzone, interzone inc, parabola, ambient, electronic, experimental, synth, drone, noise, industrial

Interzones first digital album contains very mixed material and is rather experimental and exploring. It shows some darker sides but also hosts a few humorous tracks.

Recorded during 2000-2003, but some material dates back to around mid-1980.

1. Exile (3:03)
A sonic painting of the feeling of being exiled from all you hold dear.

2. Cloister (2:07)
An experiment in noise. Sharp and hard, but still ending on a harmonious note.

3. Otiose Ballet (1:48)
If dancers would dance an otiose ballet, this would be the music they would dance to.

4. Six á la Minutè (1:03)
You have one minute to figure out the time signature of this piece.

5. Tanket (7:59)
Tanket is a huge, black, grunting, limping deadly monster. And so is this piece.

6. Slipdream (5:29)
Hold on tight, or you will spin off into the slipdream.

7. Halma (2:25)
Serentiy and peacfulness rests here, surrounded by ethereal soundscapes.

8. Union (3:18)
Lovers union can be banal to the beholder, but never to the lovers.

9. Something with a Double Bass (1:53)
A music box for grown-ups. (And children too.)

10. Impressions of Mr. Belpod (2:03)
Mr. Belpod came here and refused to leave. Said something about his legs.

11. A Little Jazz (0:34)
Shortest piece Interzone ever made.
